Family Day and BioBlitz at Stromness Reservoir (Waterworks). Following last year’s very enjoyable and productive bioblitz (despite the challenging weather), we have decided to repeat the event at this very popular area.
Join us to find and identify as many species as we can - look for plants, birds, spiders, beetles, bees, butterflies, lichens, damselflies, mosses and much more. No skills are necessary as help will be on hand and families are particularly welcome to join us in the hunt!
Come and find us at the top of the waterworks road any time between 10.00am and 2.00pm (or until exhaustion sets in!). There is parking at the top of the road or walk if you can. Wear suitable clothes and footwear for the day and bring a picnic and maybe binoculars, camera etc. We hope to see you there!
